Homecoming

Hundreds welcome Pandelela home updated! ….Reports by The Borneo Post..

KUCHING: Hundreds of fans were at the Kuching International Airport today to welcome home Olympic bronze medalist Pandelela Rinong Pamg, Traisy Vivien Tukiet and Bryan Nickson Lomas.

They included Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Alfred Jabu Numpang, Social Development Minister Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom and Infrastructure Development and Communication Minister Dato Sri Michael Manyin Jawong.

Pandelela and fellow Sarawakian divers Bryan Nickson and Traisy Vivien were greeted with sape music, a traditional dance and garlands upon their arrival at Gate 8.

There was a frenzied clicking of cameras and camera phones as every moment of their arrival was busily documented by not just media personnel but also the public.

Security was tight as the trio made their way out of the arrival hall with state dignitaries to the VIP waiting lounge for a brief press conference.

The divers were bombarded with questions about their post-Olympics feelings and future plans, with the main focus on the cheerful bronze medalist who answered questions with ease.

Pandelela then proceeded to autograph posters provided by The Borneo Post for those present before being ushered outside to meet the public, who had been waiting for her homecoming since 11am.

Thunderous cheers from family members, friends and fans were heard when they finally got to see Pandelela.

Banners and posters declaring “Pandelela … Bidayuh Boleh” and “Sarawak Loves Pandelela” were seen everywhere as everyone clamored forward to take her photo.

A motorcade, organized by Regas Premium Auto, brought Pandelela, Bryan and Traisy for a formal welcoming ceremony at the Astana.

As Pandelela left the airport in an open-top Mini Cooper escorted by police outriders and members of the Borneo Island Big Bikers, shouts and cheers of pride continued to be heard at the VIP car park area as fans and well-wishers rushed to take final shots of the teenager who has succeeded in captivating Sarawakian hearts.

Pandelela Won Bronze Medal!!

10 August 2012

A very sweet moment of this young lady named Pandelela Renong, the Malaysian Diver that has won on a bronze medal on the match at 4.00am Malaysia time that day.. Of course all Malaysian are proud with her, because she bring proud to us..with adding one more medal collection to Malaysia teams, aside from just silver medal that won by Dato’ Lee Chong Wei on the badminton match with China player-Lin Dan.

Pandelela will come back to Malaysia by this Tuesday, and of couurse, one Malaysia will wait for this champion-(eventhough she just won a bronze meadal, but she still a warrior for us, like Dato’ Lee Chong Wei..)

Pandelela also will get reward by Malaysian government with MYR100,000 and whole life pension money about MYR2,000 per month, starting next month! Wow!! Isn’t that worth it? And not only that, our Sarawak Chief Minister also will ask her later if she already come back for what Pandelela want from him(state).. Actually, Pandelela bring pride to us as Sarawakian peoples because she is the first women that wins medal from Malaysia, since first Olympic game.

But….instead of people are proud with Pandelela, there is also a HOT story that still become issue until now, that there is a man with Facebook name JOHARI PAIN makes the Sarawakian feel stir up, and also some of the other Malaysians….on the night that Pandelela will have a match, he (JOHARI PAIN) post on his FB wall that he will ‘CUT OFF’ his ‘thing’ (men’s sensitive part) if Pandelela Renong wins..Here is some shot from the Borneopost newspaper online about the story..
